Commercial
GSHPs (Ground Source Heat Pumps) are a cost effective, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly way of heating and cooling buildings. Both the DOE and the EPA have endorsed the technology. GSHPs reliably deliver quality air-conditioning and heating, on demand, in every season. GSHPs are appropriate for new construction as well as retrofits of older buildings. Their flexible design requirements make them a good choice for schools, high-rises, government buildings, apartments, and restaurants--almost any commercial property. Lower operating and maintenance costs, durability, and energy conservation make Ground Source Heat Pumps the smart choice for commercial applications.
Ground Source Heat Pumps offer great benefits:

Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV)

ClimateMaster will feature an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) option for the RE series rooftop water source heat pump (WSHP). The ERV uses a desiccant wheel coated with silica gel to recover energy from exhausted air, and transfer energy to the fresh air entering the building. ERV efficiency is about 70% efficient, which allows the standard RE series unit to handle the remaining 30% of the load with no modifications. Controls, maintenance and troubleshooting are greatly simplified. The combination WSHP/ERV system is available in 1,200 through 8,000 cfm (566 to 3776 l/s) for 100% outside air conditioning. In most areas of North America, the combination (ARI/ISO WLHP) EER is above 20 Btuh/Watt (5.86 Watts/Watt), significantly reducing operating costs. Building HVAC requirements are also reduced when a dedicated outdoor air system is applied, approximately 3 tons per 1,000 cfm (2.31 Watts per 100 l/s). The reduction allows for cost-effective, "green" building design, while conforming to the ASHRAE 62 standard. When applied to a ground source (geothermal) application, savings are even more significant, since loop field requirements are also reduced. ClimateMaster uses the AirXchange ARI 1060 certified energy recovery wheel, which includes a 5-year limited warranty. Many options are available, including CO2 sensors to limit operation during unoccupied times and economizer mode.
Vertical Stacked Series (816)

The VHS series offers an innovative, labor-saving solution for spaces where individual, quiet control of the heating and cooling system is important. VHS units' pre-piped risers and pre-wired cabinets are especially ideal multi-story buildings. Cabinets can operate as stand-alone "ductless" systems, or can be ducted to an adjacent room, making them convenient for low-rise buildings as well. The VHS series meets ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies, yet maintains small cabinet dimensions.
Available in sizes 3/4 ton (2.6 kW) through 3 tons (10.6 kW) with numerous cabinet, water piping and control choices, the VHS series offers a wide range of units for most any installation. The VHS has an extended range refrigerant circuit with a TXV refrigerant metering device. Standard features are many. Microprocessor controls, G90 galvanized steel cabinet, torsion-flex blower motor mounting, and e-coated air coil are just some of the features of the innovative VHS series.
ClimateMaster's exclusive double isolation compressor mounting system makes the VHS series the quietest vertical stack units on the market. Compressors are mounted on vibration isolation springs to a heavy gauge mounting plate, which is then isolated from the cabinet base with rubber grommets for maximized vibration/sound attenuation. Options such as high static fan motor for ducted applications, DDC controls, internal pump and factory-installed water solenoid valves allow customized design solutions.
